Eating, drinking and tasting my way around the District.

So, I decided to stop into the new Lost Society on the corner of 14th & U. The space is lovely, the location is killer, but the overall experience leaves something to be desored. Here’s why:

There is no sign on the door, the building is confusing, and a staffer had to guide me in.
The bathroom doors don’t shut properly. Also, on my first rest room attempt I walked in on a waiter, as he was in the women’s room with unlocked door…
The rooftop bar doesn’t serve specialty drinks
The main floor has a great lounge area, except apparently it’s not a lounge? I had to move to the bar.
The drinks menu is not up to date, drinks have been removed and beer is mislabeled.
I feel this is coming off a little yelpy so I’ll end here. The drinks so far are delicious and bartenders are friendly. They just need to tend to a few details. And I need to learn to wait a couple of months before visiting a new place.
