I Love Thanksgiving!

If you have spent any tme with me this past week, you’ve heard me sing these words at least 5xs, and its true. There is something so joyful and warm about this Holiday. I’ve spent the last 4 years  of thanksgivings in DC.  Hosted two, and attended two and every single one has been special.

This year I spent it at my dear friend Katherine’s place, and here is what I made (sorry no photos!)

Yesterday I baked some No-Knead bread with sesame and poppy seeds to snack on with brei, and tomorrow, I’m making this beef stew tomorrow!

3 cheers for 4 day baking weekends!

Tonights baking efforts turned into quite the adventure. While my whipped cream turned out lovely ( though I did resort to a mixer when my wrist got too tired) and the pecan pie also looks quite lovely, my pumpkin pie is a bit of a disaster.

I filled the pie a bit too full, and had pie crust and pumpkin spilling all over the oven, hopefully it’ll still taste good, even though there isn’t much of a flaky gold crust :(

I’ve so far made it out with only one burn on my finger, let’s see how many more I get tomorrow!
